SP Economic Claptrap from the King, (see his tweeted graph below). So the leading SP propagandist (after Roger Aisles) is giving a preview of how SP will counter the fact that once again a Democratic President is nursing the economy back from SP inspired disaster. Unemployment has now fallen for more than 50 months in a row. But this is terrible, because Obama did it. Evidently the falling unemployment is “Orwellian” (implying that the numbers are now calculated in a different manner – another faux conspiracy; remember that Jack Welsh election eve tweet) and that really the economy is doing worse because no one is actually working.

The reason why there are less people in the workforce is primarily because a) the baby boom generation is now reaching retirement age b) many people may have put off retirement after the 2008 crash decimated their retirement accounts and C) People are retiring earlier. Regardless of economic conditions, these trends are likely to prevail until 2020. Additionally, some are staying in school, going back to school and also evidently a number of women are electing to not enter the workforce, but start a family instead – all of which may or may not be be a good thing, i.e., this is a nuanced part of the equation, and SP does not do nuance. They should however welcome the concept of the stay at home mum.
