Living in a Stupidparty world, where art is not easily accessible, is sponsored by commercial interests and news is controlled by a few corporate interests – would be a form of mental torture for minds that like to do some form of exercise. (May not be as bad as the torture of imposing solitary confinement on children- see art work below)
Yes they sure can acquire art, or sponsor art shows, hold court at the Lincoln Center – much like a big game hunters acquire ivory – for personal glorification. It is not simply that powerful people with a repressive agenda fear art, it is also that SP types tend to be lousy artists. I guess they can draw the American flag, take a photo of Reagan on horseback, and sing with tears in their eyes about soaring eagles – but artistic talent does not exactly course through their veins.
So while it is possible for Stupidparty brains to have fleeting moments in the sun, perhaps while their political instincts are sedated, just like Clint Eastwood, business guru Jack Welch, or Susan Komen of the once highly successful cancer charity, but success combined with an aging process brings on a noxious brew of tainted SP blood swamping the brain, drowning out any spontaneous coherent creative thinking. It won’t be long before we see these types of authors talking (no doubt profanely) in rooms full of empty chairs.
Of course other authors support SP, but mostly they remain strategically tight lipped. But campaign donations are in the public domain. One of the more committed Republican writers, Dean Koontz, “the illiterate man’s Stephen King”, also Mary Higgins Clark, Robin Cook and perhaps Patricia Cornwell who has contributed to both parties – but to George Allen?

Searching high and low for movies that promote the ideals of the Stupidparty, one realizes that nonsense can not be packaged as an art form, hence artists will always be the enemy of the forces of intellectual destruction. Clearly money/funding is not the issue – because a large segment of the population would love to have some one help them rationalize their irrational thinking. And a team of individuals not lacking in credentials put their hearts and souls into trying to cater to this segment – they produced “An American Carol.”
