By Matthew Silvan via American News X:
Trump continues on his apparently unintentional quest to expose the GOP for what and who they now unquestionably represent in America: misogynists, homophobic people, xenophobic people, bullies, racists, and the “poorly educated,” –The lowbrow and the low class as minions for a few wealthy white dudes. The flimsy facade of a party representing the interests of the common people, or “American values,” or the “silent moral majority” has been utterly destroyed by the behavior of the Presidential hopefuls in the GOP.
Many argue it was just a matter of time that the party fell apart from within, as the GOP has used tactics of division, hate, and fear-mongering for decades. The emergence of the Tea Party snake may have represented the death knell for them when it wrapped its coils around the last remnants of a group that has no resemblance to what it stood for at its inception. It’s not the party of Lincoln by any stretch of the imagination, and Donald Trump is now sealing the fate of the party by opening the Pandora’s box the Koch brothers, the lobbyists, and the so-called “Patriot groups” have created.
When Marco Rubio made his innuendos about Trump’s manhood and his little hands, knowing that his voters would respond to that kind of adolescent remark, he triggered the moment that is now probably the most embarrassing for the GOP in recent history at the 11th debate, March 3rd, 2016 in Detroit. (If it wasn’t his recent remarks indicating he was OK with people who follow the white supremacist, David Duke.) If you are one of the few who haven’t witnessed the antics, see the video below:
There is no going back in time to re-do this debate, to advise the candidates that Presidents are expected to act with a decorum fitting of the highest office in the land. They have really taken it there, to the shame of all of us, who can only watch in amazement and shock. Now that Pandora’s box is, at last, open, for all in the entire world to see, we can only just begin to fathom what the climate will look like in the days up to the election. With ISIS threatening to wage attacks designed to interrupt the election process, and to ultimately create more fear in the country, which would work to Trump’s advantage on the war-mongering front, we as a people must face the very real possibility of an election that could completely change the face of our country forever, and render us anything but great – a fascist, theocratic, military/industrial complex that will be facing the unparalleled challenges of a world on the brink of climate disaster. The prophecies of Obama being the last US President are sounding a little relieving at the moment, but only if that means Trump is never taking the White House.
While many Americans are feeling very stressed out, understandably worried about the state of affairs in our country, this is also a time of great satire, of trolling, and of hilarity, as people use their senses of humor to assault the insanity. A Florida-based group calling itself TheChurch of Satanic Activism, who’s motto is “Thou Shalt Troll. Mercilessly,” has taken upon itself the goal of disrupting the GOP debates. Their method of choice: Wearing 6-feet tall inflatable penis costumes to March 10, 2016, and the GOP Florida debate at the University of Miami. Under the guise of the ubiquitous “Religious Freedom!” umbrella, the group has aimed to claim its antics will be in observance of Shinto Kanamara Matsuri, the “Festival of the Steel Phallus from Kawasaki, Japan, held on the first Sunday of April. Certainly one way to expose the hypocrisy of the Religious Freedom laws, when we all know it’s really just a ploy to further entrench Christianity as the only legitimate religion in the US. See video below:
The church founder, Chaz Stevens, had this to say of the upcoming phallic Ode De Trump:
“Donald J. Trump’s a real dick, so it wasn’t much of a stretch,” Stevens told The Huffington Post. “The timing is perfect. The GOP is coming to Florida, Florida is shaped like a giant dong, and a dong is leading the GOP.”
We have already seen an unusual protest, with a man dressed as the Japanese shōjo manga character, Sailor Moon. Chanting, ”USA!” in patriotic fervor, the man caused a small commotion at the February 21 rally in Atlanta, Georgia. See below:
While some of the protests against Trump are certainly humorous, we have to remember that the polarized state of our country has reached a pitch that will most certainly create a very real problem for the Republican party and possibly the entire country. The fiascoes that we have witnessed have taken whatever credibility was left away from Republicans as viable options for leadership in an age where educated, rational leadership is absolutely critical. They must now attempt to repair the irreversible damages they wielded upon themselves, and the only way to do that is to outright reject who they have become –to fracture into two separate parties. And that’s precisely what is happening now. In a panic and state of alarm, William Kristol, editor of the conservative Weekly Standard magazine, would work for an “independent Republican” ticket if Donald Trump takes the nomination.
Realizing far too late that Trump was fully capable of revealing their ugly core, the Republicans are completely and utterly screwed, and it’s their own fault. Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, and others are going to have to try and somehow pull back the cheesecloth veil on their party that they have each kept in place as best they could. But the world has seen the real GOP. They have watched in shock as the real fascists’ hideous face has been shown, and the demons of Pandora’s box have been let out to wreak utter havoc on them all.
It’s humiliating to watch, even if you aren’t a Republican, but if you are, it’s time that you own up to what you have silently supported all these years. If you are a Democrat, it’s time you wake up and take your apathy to the woodshed out back, and beat it until it wakes up. If Trump is elected President, it won’t ultimately be the fault of the GOP, but of you not doing your part to elect either Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders or, hopefully, a ticket sharing their names. Our future as a country depends on each reasonable, educated person doing their own small part, and putting the demons back in the GOP box for good.
