As one may have noticed I have a bit of a fascination with the term Freedom or Freedoms. These nouns are often a red flag for shallow thinking or nefarious agenda’s. It is a noun that comes very easily to populist politicians looking to use misdirection to drive a false or Orwellian narrative. My book devotes an entire chapter on the subject – but yet that is not enough. I spend some time discussing the Koch agenda (i.e. Freedom = Economic Slavery for the Struggling class) but not enough time. I can fill such voids by means of my blogs and my Website. I have written more about the Koch tentacles and also discussed the imperative need to understand organizations such as The American Legislative Exchange Council or ALEC for short.
As a result of the efforts of many people – such topics are now getting to be in the mainstream. But I want to go to the next step and dig into new territory. Of course other people are doing this, and doing a great job—but I would like to do what I can to penetrate all this into the consciousness of as many people as possible.
Regarding the California drought, I am not saying that certain specific policies may or may not hinder efforts to alleviate the shorter term impact of such droughts. But if you want to discuss a subject sensibly, then do not indulge in non-sensible inflammatory rhetoric. No critical thinking person wants to waste time trying to weigh the views of people deeply trapped in a disingenuous, yet somewhat imaginative Alice in Wonderland Universe.
I was recently drawn to a fascinating piece of so called Journalism entitled Obama Blames California Drought He Caused on Global Warming. The Journalist who wrote this piece was Daniel Greenfield whose bio reads: Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is a New York writer focusing on radical Islam. He is completing a book on the international challenges America faces in the 21st century. An additional red flag— was in the opening sentence of this piece of investigative Journalism : “I hear Global Warming was also responsible for Obama-care, the National Debt and Obama’s poor golf game.” Humorous? No, Stupidparty is not capable of Humor.
There is so much to consider in the above paragraph. But I will start with the description of the Journalist as a fellow of the Freedom Center. I must confess that I had automatically pegged this as being yet another Koch funded foundation whose goal is to achieve the exact reverse for the “Struggling class” of America. I was wrong, the Freedom society is funded by the likes of Sarah Scaife Foundation and run by David Horowitz.
The Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hatewatch blog has described it (the Freedom Center) as a far-right organization David Horowitz has numerous two dimensional views:

Horwitz added that all black people everywhere are far more racist than white people. “They’re racist, for crying out tears. They are racist. There’s no community that’s more racist in America than the black community. And everybody knows it, but nobody will say it.”
This he says while being a guest of the Phyllis Schlafly (Founder of the Eagle Forum) radio show –who has in her old age dotage recently revealed her true bigot colors:
“Obama doesn’t want America to believe that we’re exceptional,” Schlafly says in an interview with the right-leaning WorldNetDaily. “He wants us to be just like everybody else, and if Africa is suffering from Ebola, we ought to join the group and be suffering from it, too. That’s his attitude.”
Note: Worldnetdaily was founded by Joseph Farah who collaborated with Rush Limbaugh in the book “I told You So.” is now better known for being caught while attempting to board a plane at Dulles International Airport, he was found to have a loaded .38 caliber revolver in his bag, Worldnetdaily also features editorials from the most prolific Stupidparty Pepto bismol addicted authors, and their endless angry fantasy narratives of literal and verbal diarrhea, posing disingenuously as Non Fiction—such as Pat Buchanan, Ellis “we all under Shariah Law now” Washington, Ann Coulter, David Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, and Chuck “Koran Expert” Norris.
David Horowitz is also a foreign policy expert.
“No people has shown itself so morally sick as the Palestinians have. … Not only are they sick, nasty terrorists, but they’re racists. They can’t live alongside anybody who’s not … Muslim.” He added, “When you’re surrounded by Nazis who want to blow up their own children to kill you, you need territory. You need space.”
Horowitz said in a piece for FrontPage Magazine in April 2003, “Baghdad is liberated. In the days to come let us not forget that if it were not for one man, and one man alone—George Bush—the people of Iraq would not be celebrating in the streets and pulling down Saddam’s statues today. … We have entered the era of a new civil war between the forces of freedom and the powers of Islamo-fascist and communist darkness, and once again the left is clearly determined to take its stand on the other side. The good news is that America is back. Our military has performed superlatively. Our leadership has stood tall. We ourselves can celebrate over this and look confidently toward what lies ahead.”
So this leads us to Frontpage Magazine, (FPM) published by the David Horowitz Freedom Center—the source for the article blaming Obama for the California drought. I doubt if Obama will ever be their person of the year – for yes they are self-important enough to try and compete against Time magazine. Perhaps the simplest way to see into the soul of the people involved with Frontpage magazine is to see who they choose as their person of the year;
2011 “Man of the Year” was the Wounded Warrior Project. A rather controversial Charity that has numerous critics.
2010 “Person of the Year” was the Tea Party Movement.
2009 “Man of the Year” was radio and then-Fox News host Glenn Beck.
2006 “Men of the Year” Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. The two United States Border Patrol agents shot drug smuggler Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila in the buttocks near the US–Mexico border and were convicted of assault with serious bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, discharge of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence, violating the civil rights of an illegal alien, and obstruction of justice “for not reporting that their weapons had been fired”. They had been sentenced to 11 years and 1 day and 12 years imprisonment, respectively, and were subsequently incarcerated. FrontPage Magazine considered them guilty only of “bureaucratic infractions”.
FPM’s 2004 “Man of the Year” was John O’Neill, the head of the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth.[7] Yes the man who somehow turned John Kerry’s confirmed war Heroism into a liability compared to George W Bush’s pampered and extremely questionable and covered up behavior in the Texas guard. Trojan Horse 2003 “Man of the Year”
Maybe Allen West could simply make up his mind as to whether Democrats are all fascists? “If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat party, because they have an incredible propaganda machine.” Or are Democrats all Communists? Their list of contributors include such Stupidparty intellectual heavyweights and Fox news (Murdoch) bulwarks as Ann Coulter, Dick Morris (the worlds worst prognosticator) Charles Krauthammer and the Ronald Reagan kid— who perhaps got shafted on the already questionable gene pool end of things—Micheal Reagan. David Harsanyi His writings on politics and culture have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Weekly Standard etc. He is a former editor of Human Events a publication that blamed Liberals for the Vietnam war fiasco and supported Apartheid describing Nelson Mandela as the main obstacle to peace in South Africa: “While President Botha is moving at a fast and furious pace to end the apartheid system, Mandela remains as adamant a revolutionary as ever. He’s still a Marxist, still a man of violence, still a supporter of the Communist-run ANC”. Early contributors included Phyllis Schlafly.

I would also like to linger over his Four Horseman book. Fred Barnes, of Fox News and executive editor of the Weekly Standard * enthuses “ Harsanyi insists four more years of Obama will bring a debt disaster…” Another Author John Lott columnist for FoxNews.com,who wrote a book about America (a nation with 270,000,000 Guns) having a bias against Guns: he also wrote More Guns, Less Crime, The Bias Against Guns, (which in my book I quite easily prove is utter nonsense) and Freedomnomics. writes effusively “Whether it’s our exploding debt or abortion or foreign policy crises our country faces, David Harsanyi’s book Obama’s Four Horsemen paints a vivid picture of what he aptly warns is the ‘highway to hell.’
* The Weekly Standard was founded by News Corp, was kept alive by Rupert Murdoch, but once Murdoch had acquired and subverted the already Conservative all Street Journal to his massive arsenal— he felt his influence would be better served by allowing this Neocon rag to be acquired by the Oil Baron Billionaire Philip Frederick Anschutz. (Remember that name). If you are interested in business stories written with more integrity- you might want to consider The Financial Times, no relation to the New York Times or Murdoch British flagship Times newspaper.
Just for balance I will provide a more rational critique of this book:

This author has lost any credibility with rational thinkers. I would hope that readers would not be taken in by this craftiness.”
The fact that these type of books get published, get reviewed, get publicity and read by morons – is all down the the circular activities of the same band of Oligarchs in waiting and their paid mercenary faux journalists.
If any Journalist calls out such repulsive deceit, such utter claptrap—they are accused of having a Liberal bias. The term Liberal bias is totally misunderstood – the fourth pillar of Democracy has been devastatingly undermined.
This one fascinates me because I have long been on the hunt for Stupidparty comedy that is remotely funny. I devote a chapter of my book to evaluating such nonexistent humor. I just had to check this guy out on YouTube. Evidently the punchline is that Liberals are invariably evil. Life is too short to listen to too much of his nonsense – but why not give him a shot – Google him and suffer for your trouble.

The readers of such moronic nonsense have to be Stupidparty disciples – and I have established elsewhere that approximately two thirds of such readers are no longer able or inclined to think critically.
Now that we have established the soil of Mr. Greenfield’s desiccated Journalistic environs, his Intellectual acumen and that of his apostles, we can now consider and marvel at his lectures regarding who is intelligent and who is not intelligent:

One thing really notable about such adjective ridden narrative and so typical of stupidparty discourse – is always the failure to support such narrative with facts. This is the constant— that can not be avoided when promoting Myth. Merely having a fertile imagination is better suited to fiction writers. Posing as a writer of nonfiction is not Journalism, it is shamalism. Shamalism is a new word, just like truthiness.
Mr Greenfield, being a New York based Journalist— it will be interesting to see his assured stance on Climate being overwhelmed by the next tidal surge that is bound to pound New York City at some point in the future—I assume he will appose all efforts to beef up flood control, strengthen utility infrastructure etc
But we are also free and duty bound to eviscerate their idiotic Myth based, money corrupted agenda. We are free to join in the movement to refuse to surrender to such falsehoods, such bigotry and not allow the power of false equivalence from diluting facts and truths— into a neutered version of itself—as demonstrated by the Cowardly Democrats who somehow managed to lose the midterms to a Congress with a 10% approval rating—by not standing tall and thus allowing Stupidity to trump Cowardice.
When will these charlatans discussed above be forced to eat their words? (when proven wrong they just change the subject). When will their paymasters be exposed? Who will help me share their true colors, by proudly displaying ours?
