Just follow Bigfoots’ prints—And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13—leading to the larger conspiracy.
Nigel Farage, Bannon, Mercer, Assange, Trump, – Putin’s Minions:
Who is Nigel Farage?
I never gave a great deal of attention to this seemingly quite amusing far right gadfly, Nigel Farage. Farage led the UK Independence Party (UKIP) at various times between 2006-2016. UKIP without Farage would likely never have become a force. UKIP was an outgrowth of prior marginalized racist and quasi-fascist elements like the British National Party. Yet as a likeable pragmatic jocular bon vivant, Farage accomplished an apparent near separation and evolution from such labels, almost installing an air of basic light-hearted British stay-calm-style decency, notwithstanding various party members getting caught with verbal slips, hinting the wolf still lurked within.
This juxtaposition allowed UKIP to become very successful in its political presence in Europe, securing the election of numerous MEP’s (Members of the European Parliament) an institution that was an attempt to give the European Economic Community (EEC) the air of being run like a democracy. Hate or love it, this was and remains a tough and thankless task, as to varying degrees all member countries are loath to surrendering sovereignty. Domestically, UKIP was having virtually zero success in winning seats in the British parliament. They remained shunned by the establishment—the merits of that cultural antagonism are now coming into sharper focus. For all of Farage’s success in getting his UKIP party to eventually force the British Conservative party to reluctantly hold a referendum on Europe, leading to Brexit, Farage, although having tried seven times, could never win a seat in the British parliament. Compounding that insult, he could never get accepted into the club (the British establishment) and was likely regarded as something of a spiv, rather than being seen as landed gentry.
Farage’s erstwhile Dulwich College-high school teachers shuddered at his fascist tendencies. Farage was apparently inspired by Enoch Powell’s infamous, though misquoted, 1968 incendiary “rivers of blood” speech. Powell, who looked at one point like he had the potential to become prime minister, still has defenders. In fact there has been a movement in the Conservative party to rehabilitate him. Prior to the 1968 speech, Powell had an impressive resume. Britain now has a radical Islam problem, leading to increased nationalism. To put this in context—if the US had as many terrorist attacks in their country, the U.S., being far more brittle, would have fractured. On the other hand America has little problem with home-grown terror, which is the terror that is prevalent and yet accommodated. Lone wolf white guys with guns can plead insanity. This allows Americans to gloss over the real issue.
More fear in the UK adds up to more votes for populist politicians, hence a need to polish up Enoch Powell. Clearly Farage adores Enoch Powell. As will become clear, it is important that we understand Farage. Now that we know that Farage idealizes Powell, we can see into Farage’s soul by taking another look at Enoch Powell’s speech, trying not to be too judgmental (even though Powell made himself a magnet for all the countries racists)—Look at Powell’s speech with an eye to evaluate, with the benefit of hindsight, both its veracity and its predictive chops.
Enoch Powell said (although not in this speech):
“What’s wrong with racism? Racism is the basis of nationality.”
He claimed a constituent came up to him and said:
“If I had the money to go, I wouldn’t stay in this country.” I made some deprecatory reply to the effect that even this government wouldn’t last forever; but he took no notice, and continued: “I have three children, all of them been through grammar school and two of them married now, with family. I shan’t be satisfied till I have seen them all settled overseas. In this country in 15 or 20 years’ time the black man will have the whip hand over the white man.”
He claimed there would inevitably be a race war:
“As I look ahead,” he said, “I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see ‘the River Tiber foaming with much blood’.
He claimed (these so-called constituents have never been found, and Powell never made an effort to speak to these supposed constituents) he had received a letter about an elderly woman:
who had become her street’s only white resident and was, being harassed each morning by black residents wanting to ring their employers. “She is becoming afraid to go out,” “Windows are broken. She finds excreta pushed through her letterbox. When she goes to the shops, she is followed by children, charming wide-eyed piccaninnies.”
But Powell knew precisely what the consequences of his speech would be, knew exactly what he was doing. He explained to a friend one week before the speech:
“I’m not telling you what is in the speech. But you know how a rocket goes up into the air, explodes into lots of stars, and then falls down to the ground. Well, this speech is going to go up like a rocket, and when it gets to the top, the stars are going to stay up.”
But more importantly Powell, and all the Enoch Powell’s, are wrong about some really simple stuff
- Immigration is good for the economy.
- It is no longer feasible for a large economy to remain vibrant without diversity.
- No single race is better than any other race. Racists, however, are worse than other races of people.
- Splintering into multiple tribal groups will choke economic growth and lead to more wars.
- Going back to Enoch Powell’s “What’s wrong with racism? Racism is the basis of nationality.” So there we have it—join the dark side, follow the nationalist, white supremacist agenda, we all become racist, scorning other tribes. Tribes within tribes. We all become small, shrinking until we are left with nothing but our egotistical fearful hateful self.
I do not want to bash Enoch Powell. I do not want to bash Germans for allowing Hitler to gain power in Germany in 1933. But I do want to bash people who cannot learn from the lessons of history. Farage is worse than all the Enochs out there. Hoisting himself by his own petard, Farage believes that Powell was wrong because he was “too far ahead of the times.” Farage does not plan on making that mistake—he intends to take “the flag” of his ambitions out further and further—in order that his dim-witted compatriots can keep up. That is, Farage intends to take Britain to a darker place than even Enoch Powell envisioned. Even equipped with the benefit of historical hindsight Farage forges on—just follow the footsteps into the secret and horrible world that Farage has discovered.
Brexit was a referendum no one thought would actually lead to exit. Even after the polls were closed on election night Farage assumed he had lost, making a whingeing fool of himself in the process.
British versus American Politics.
What is perfectly acceptable in the US is not acceptable in Britain. In America you can pretty much say anything you want (note Trump and Roy Moore), a preposterously successful American “alt-right” strategy. If you are an American progressive who reflexively despise the UK Conservative Party read very carefully. While the British (including conservatives) treat hate speech as a crime, nor tolerate pedophiles regardless of party affiliation.
Alex Jones—Info Wars, the pinnacle of U.S. hate radio, conspiracy claptrap— the very definition of everything wrong with America, humanity.
In Britain you do not have to worry about the deadly stupid—such as guns, zero health care for large swathes of the country, a partisan judiciary, hate mongers dominating talk radio, creationists, fundamentalist religious nuts, fundamentalist pro-lifers, gerrymandering, voter suppression, parties cheating at elections, contested elections or massive money buying-up politicians. Thank your lucky stars Britain! Maybe God is not an American after all.
But Brits do need to worry about invasive species such as epic concussion inducing sales pitches hiding under the guise of a sporting event—American football; Hershey’s peanut butter—just say no—Kisses; Farage, and his land of the free genre hate talk LBC (London Broadcasting Company) radio; Murdoch-style media; and any entitled, effete, tax-dodging, chinless wonder, Conservative politician (e.g., Jacob Rees-Mogg, MP for North East Somerset comes to mind), who would be happy to endure Herr Donald Trump wallowing in a full state goose stepping victory parade up the mall. Trump, a man who should be jailed or at least barred from entry in the UK for his hate inciting speeches and actions. But he’s an ally you see; STFU and grow a pair.
Farage has appeared repeatedly on the Russian state sponsored RT (formerly Russia Today), Russia’s English-language propaganda outlet. In 2014, Farage with Russia’s ambassador to the UK and, when asked which politician he “most admired,” he pointed to the Russian strongman. (Trump has same hero.)
In Farage’s eyes is Putin God or the Dalai Lama? I am confused…
“I want the EU to be destroyed and it doesn’t matter if God or the Dalai Lama wants it as well,”
Farage had this to say about “let’s make Russia great again” Putin’s most credible foe, Angela (the only grown- up in room adult enough to understand the dog whistle inherent in “Let’s make Germany great again”) Merkel.
“She is incredibly cold. I always say – I agree this is a bit rude – but whatever you think of the public image of Merkel, in private she is even more miserable. I warm to more extrovert people.”
Why Study Bigfoot?
Farage’s involvement with American politics and key Trump figures means that the British people’s ability to analyze him has gotten weak; shit is going on right under their noses and they are oblivious. Bigfoot’s buffoonery also provides Americans a chance to look at the Trump/-Russia election-tampering issue from a different perspective and see that not only is the problem larger than feared but that it is not simply the US that is being undermined, but that the West is being torn asunder by a bunch of brown-shirted ultra-nationalist white supremacist let’s-make-us-all-great agains—by turning us all back into a bunch of warring tribes. “It takes a tribe” takes on a very different meaning.
Why Bigfoot Farage? Why has it suddenly become obvious that Farage might well be indicative of something really scary? Can his carelessness that has been manifested by him been re-energized as a result of his new-found ability to operate in a parallel universe, largely invisible to both sides? But this would mean that he is clearly visible to only those who happen to cohabit both universes.
Now I find myself smiling, because I can see what few others can see. As the movie- going public goes gaga over Disney PG-13-driven Marvel super heroes with their endlessly diverse special powers, and over the relatively more realistic Star Wars, with its “force” and its multiple light-speed travel options, ability to stop immediately without apparent injury to the occupants. I just sit back and grin. Because at my cultural finger-tips I have two superpowers that out-match any of that. Superman, you got nothing—I have Dr. Who’s TARDIS and, more pertinently, I have Phillip Pullman’s “Subtle Knife” (His Dark Materials) in my imaginary repertoire. So in my head I see Nigel Farage wielding the one-and-only subtle knife, able to cut his way into parallel universes and escape the consequences of each universe. With each cut, the “dust” from our self-awareness gets sucked into outer space—leaving us as evolving into wraith-like creatures.
Back to reality—bump, ouch—I must seek out enough Bigfoot prints for a clear map of an even scarier conspiracy than is already apparent—to emerge. I must sign post the portals into hell in order to help others to close them.
Bigfoot and Charlottesville.
Here is an interesting tweet that no Brit (and few Americans) would understand:
“Place to be”? Sure was.
What does this mean? Evan McLaren (tried and found guilty in Charlottesville) along with Richard Spencer, an icon to white supremacists, whilst at the Washington DC Trump International Hotel (a place for Trumps supporters to see and be seen) was in the planning stages of organizing the Charlottesville white-supremacist KKK, neo-Nazi rally that directly led to the second-degree murder of thirty-two year old Heather Heyer. Now add in the death of two police officers and much other public disorder, as McLaren’s and Spencer’s numerous pupils displayed swastikas on banners and shouted slogans like “blood and soil,” a phrase drawn from Nazi ideology. “This city is run by Jewish communists and criminal niggers.”
This was an American Kristallnacht, otherwise known as America being made great again. They planned the rally on this day at the Trump Hotel. Daniel Friberg is a Swedish white-supremacist businessman, who co-founded Altright.com with Richard Spencer. Richard Spencer has had his Twitter account suspended for promoting hate. Chris.altright appears to be Christopher Cantwell, a 36-year-old overt fascist who argues for an Anglo-ethno state free of African-Americans, Jews, and non-white immigrants save, perhaps, for the occasional exception. His Twitter account has also been suspended.
Would you like to see a fascist literally speaking for the president of the United States? Well look no further than this video of Trump spokesperson and White House Dalek, snarling “you will obey or be exterminated” orders to the press.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBBRywZRrnQ
Now remember how Trump once again revealed his racism by refusing to acknowledge that the fascist protesters were worse than the crowd protesting fascism—something all decent people are obligated to do. Now you know why Trump revealed himself for what he is.
So that just leaves one unaddressed name left on that tweet. Yes you got it—our very own Nigel Farage. This gang of fascists, they were clearly happy to see him—doing Britain proud—making Britain, “Great” Britain. But Britain is already Great Britain, so Farage/UKIP must be making Great Britain a “Greater” Great Britain. But Nigel, what about Northern Ireland which is part of the UK, but not part of Britain? Farage is making “Greater” Greater Great Britain.
Bigfoot goes to Alabama.
Putting such semantics aside, this guilt-by-association tweet is not enough to lynch Farage. But you know who loves a “good-ol’-boy” lynching? We need to go the real pro’s—we need to head down to Alabama.
I was fascinated by Farage deciding to go to Alabama, one of America’s most backward states and campaign for a “hang’em high, “not sure if gays should be executed” judge, going by the name Roy Moore, in a GOP primary, a trial run for a later election for the US Senate. Farage’s visit actually triggered this whole research effort into Farage. This is a pretty obscure trip for a British politician. How will he get a decent pint of bitter, a properly brewed pot of tea? It just did not make compute.
But what is even odder is that Roy Moore is loathed not simply by American progressives, but also by much of the Republican party outside of Alabama. You need to be a rather repellant person to get that much pushback in Republican circles. So if Moore is this bad by American standards, you can barely imagine how Brits would view him, if only they knew him. So for all the Brits out there, meet Judge Roy Moore, a man who was originally too extreme for Trump, a person with no apparent boundaries, and keep reminding yourself that Nigel Farage went considerably out of his way to propel Roy Moore’s candidacy into the US Senate, even to the point of undermining his bosom- buddy Trump (who endorsed Moore’s primary opponent) and you must keep asking yourself why? Why? Why?
In order to further illustrate out how odd this visit was, I need to point out some good sensible British stuff about Nigel Farage:
Regarding God: “I think there is something there, but that’s as far as it goes.”
Would he repeal gay marriage? “No”
“I am pro-choice” LBC RADIO’ (Abortion policy: UKIP is presently suggesting a 12- week limit.)
If you do not accept that life begins at conception and the killing of such single-cell life is murder, then by Alabama standards you are literally a murderer. I am not exaggerating—this is southern evangelical, voodoo, Christian frothing-at-the-mouth crazy. Many of Judge Roy Moore’s supporters (not exactly multi-taskers) are single-issue voters and this is the single issue. They think it is a Biblical issue; it is not. Even though it is part of Catholic dogma, I have explained how the Catholic Church became so backward and un-Christian. Why are these people unwilling to care about their own healthcare? Why do they vote against their own economic interests, voting themselves into economic oblivion? Why if not for their insane, invented Christian values?
Therefore Roy Moore and most people in Alabama would believe that Nigel Farage is going to hell—and for dozen different reasons.
Let’s Meet Judge Roy Moore – and just in case you have not heard, he’s been suspended from the Alabama Supreme Court twice, once for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments statue from state grounds (read the US Constitution buddy) and later for refusing to follow the federal Supreme Court’s landmark ruling legalizing same-sex marriage. A judge who is above the law is perhaps one of the scariest phenomenon’s in any society. Moore is a judge who actually believes the only law is God’s law (whatever that means, or whatever he wants it to mean).
Judge Roy Moore co–authored the following study course (you can check it out on Amazon). This course instructs students that women should not be permitted to run for elected office. If women do run for office, the course argues, people have a moral obligation not to vote for them. The course is also critical of the women’s suffrage movement, which in 1920 secured for some American women, the right to vote.

Moore the pedophile has such contempt for the rule of law that he was almost certainly aware of James O’Keefe’s attempt to subvert justice by trying to trap the Washington Post into printing a story created by O’Keefe. A woman was instructed to go to the Washington Post and falsely claim that she had conceived a child with Roy Moore when she was fifteen.
What makes us think Roy Moore knew about this scam? Well, here is a tweet from Slate correspondent Will Saletan:
Moore has argued on multiple occasions that America’s secular shift is responsible for many of its darkest moments, including the 9/11 terrorist attacks and recent “shootings and killings.” A devoted creationist, he would ban evolution from being taught in schools, he rails against same sex marriage, but is apparently fine with being a sexual predator to under aged women, “generally not dating teenagers,” and according to Moore, always asking the mother’s permission first.
He believes God put Trump in the White House (I guess his white supremacist God was working on the Greek debt problem when Obama snuck in), was a “birther” (a level of proactive ignorance that can only be held by a racist), thinks that Sharia law has been adopted in parts of the US, (it has not), had no idea what a “dreamer” was (an important American issue surrounding immigration), and, finally and off course, no Muslim should be allowed to serve in Congress.
He is also a poet:
America the Beautiful, or so you used to be,
Land of the Pilgrims’ pride, I’m glad they’re not here to see,
Babies piled in dumpsters, abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand
So the odds of a Romeo Moore and Juliet, sorry, Julian Farage having a legitimate relationship are about as miniscule as Roy Moore writing this next piece poetry for his new lover.
Oh Farage, Farage, where art though – “My Love is deep, the Moore I give to thee, the Moore I have, for both are infinite”
It gets worse, even as virtually all Republicans are ditching Roy Moore (until they didn’t!) because the assertions against Moore were so credible and Moore’s defense so self-incriminating with overt and easily fact-checked lies Farage stood by his man. November 13, 2017, “right wing British politician Nigel Farage has raised questions over the allegations of sexual assault levelled at Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore”
Farage’s endorsement must be a wakeup call for any Brit who believes that Farage belongs in polite society. We must now not simply ask what Farage’s real agenda is (surely unchanged since his Dulwich College days), but what might now allow the dark underbelly of his soul to burst through his disciplined, civil-and-urbane facade and corrupt the universe that he was born into? What is he caught up in and what can set him free? He said he went to Alabama because Steve Bannon asked him to go. Or was it less of a request, more of a team call, from people he is heavily in bed with? His new BFFs.
After all his triumphs, yet a likely embittered outsider, Farage is clearly ready for some “me time” or “screw you” time. Now look at this photo taken in the spring of 2017—well after Brexit, well after the Trump victory.
WTF? And it gets better…BuzzFeed News Reports:
Nigel Farage visited (snuck into) the Ecuadorian embassy in west London on Thursday, where WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has been living since he claimed asylum in 2012. The former UKIP leader spent around 40 minutes in the building and left at noon, accompanied by Christian Mitchell, the head of operations at radio station LBC, where Farage hosts a regular show.
Approached by BuzzFeed News as he left to get into a car waiting round the corner, Farage said he couldn’t remember what he had been doing in the building.
Later, Farage changes that untenable story and said that the meeting was facilitated by his LBC producer Christian Mitchell. “LBC producer”—that sounds so legitimate, so normal, a full proof alibi, nothing to see here—right? Let’s check that alibi; I think we need to understand Mr. Mitchell’s role and what he stands for. It should be noted that LBC is on the whole seen as a respectable, not overly partisan radio station.
Who is Christian Mitchell?
You would think a competent objective LBC producer would have facilitated such a special meeting to help secure an interview for LBC or a news story for LBC. But that did not occur. A review of Mitchell’s rather puny Twitter account reveals sycophancy toward Farage, plus retweets from American white supremacist, Sebastian Gorka, who he follows among numerous other very questionable American news sources and personalities. Breitbart, of course, hate-radio’s Michael Savage, who is banned from entering the UK,
and just a menagerie of really extreme right-wing nut jobs and liars—Marine le Pen, etc.
Obviously who one follows is not necessarily indicative of one’s beliefs, especially for someone who follows politics. Rather, you have to look for a pattern, such a pattern would be tough for any British resident to spot—so incestuous with sometimes obscure American creeps has Farage become. But a pattern there is when evaluating how Christian Mitchell absorbs the issues of the day.
But a better indicator would be retweets, and beyond retweeting Farage and LBC stuff (fair game, of course) his political retweets are few. In addition to Gorka, Mitchell has a penchant for retweeting Eric and Donald Trump Jr. Prior to being Farage’s stooge, Mitchell was the executive producer for Nick Ferrari, who thought about running for mayor of London before Boris Johnson. Ferrari liked the idea of doubling the income tax on human rights lawyers—revealing. But more seriously. . .
In 2003, the Broadcasting Standards Commission upheld a complaint against Ferrari, finding that his program’s “active reinforcement of prejudiced views about asylum seekers had exceeded acceptable boundaries for transmission.” He was basically found guilty of encouraging callers who made racist comments. In 2015, Ferrari was investigated by Ofcom after he said on his radio program that the November 2015 Paris attacks were “a Muslim problem” and told a Muslim caller to “go someplace else” if the caller didn’t agree with UK foreign policy.
It can be argued that it is tough for a fast-talking radio personality not to make mistakes, but all this gets thrown out by association. Mitchell supports Trump and his agenda. That is the beauty of Trump—there is nowhere for the bad guys to hide—giving air time to people like Sebastian Gorka, defending Trump’s Muslim ban saying it was not a Muslim ban, citing Indonesia and disingenuously suggesting it was Obama’s CIA list of countries that did poor vetting, etc. Using tortured logic as defense is another red flag. But if you remain in doubt try this:
The whole fiasco started when Channel 4 news anchor, Cathy Newman, tweeted last night that she had been ‘ushered out’ of a mosque where she had come for a ‘Visit My Mosque’ event. It transpired later that she in fact went to the wrong mosque by mistake, and they had merely directed her to the nearby mosque that she was supposed to go to. However, the damage was done since hundreds of foolish and ignorant people jumped to condemn the mosque for ‘kicking out a female journalist’ and other such ridiculous spins.
Yesterday morning, Nick Ferrari tried to weigh in on the attack and spent most of his LBC radio show trying to take digs at Muslims for this fictitious event, but when these callers rang in and exposed his desperate attempt at an anti-Muslim spin he got increasingly uncomfortable, but still did not give up until the end!
I have plenty of problems with aspects of Islam, any religious fundamentalism, but a fundamentalist cannot attack fundamentalism. Take a time out from tribalism and ask yourself, who is a better person—Donald Trump or Hassan Rouhani? Who is smarter? Who is more truthful? What is the temperamental difference between Trump and Kim Jong-Un? Political leaders and journalists and even commentators have responsibilities; they need to be objective, factual, and credible. For UK residents it is far more difficult to see the patterns created by Farage’s/Mitchell’s American connections. One does not need to be a rocket scientist or a Russian bot using Cambridge Analytica technology (discussed later) to see what Christian Mitchell stands for.
However we now know, through yet more leaked emails that Farage/UKIP ties to Assange go back to at least 2011. Business Insider reports:
In February 2011, after a European Arrest Warrant had been issued in a case in which prosecutors sought to question Assange in connection with a sexual-assault allegation, UKIP repeatedly reached out to Assange to see how they could work together. Assange has not been charged in the case.
Clearly Farage and his minion Christian Mitchell, when it comes to the explanation for the visit to Assange, have zero credibility, and digging into Farage’s explanation makes me ever more convinced about who Farage really is.
Farage: A Person of Interest
That might be an understatement. The supposedly bipartisan US Senate Intelligence Committee in early 2018 showed all the signs of falling apart—it appears that one party is determined not to investigate with intelligence, integrity, or an ounce of patriotism. So distraught was Senator Feinstein of California at such treasonous ineptitude, and much to the horror of her GOP committee colleagues, she bravely broke Senate protocol in a historic manner by releasing the transcripts of an interview with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson. This was the group originally sponsored by Republicans, then the Democrats to investigate Trump, in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election. They secured the services of respected former MI5 agent Christopher Steele. Steele, author of the infamous Steele dossier that suggested (and going off topic for one moment) that Trump among many other compromising acts while in Moscow, found it amusing to entertain himself and his entourage of courtesy escorts, undoubtedly monitored by the KGB*, by providing a “golden shower” on the same bed that had been slept on by Obama. I happen to believe this story for three reasons a) who could make this stuff up, b) Steele is a credible source, and c) we should expect nothing less from Trump.
*Note: Technically the KGB was disbanded in 1991 and replaced my many other intelligence/surveillance departments. But by this date the KGB would have had a big fat file on Trump, probably dating back to 1977. This file would have been passed down as Putin saw fit, as he ensnared his wet dream patsy.
The GOP senators were anxious to undermine both Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele in order to protect their Herr Twittler leader in Chief. Thus-they-embarked on leaking out of context parts of the Glenn Simpson interview. Christopher Steele realized that that the Senate Intelligence Committee was indulging in a cover-up and misdirection; he refused to be interviewed. Simpson begged for the transcript of his interview to be made public. The committee refused and members kept on deceiving. Feinstein had had enough and leaked the whole transcript. The GOP was outraged; their sham was exposed. Trump called the leak a crime, which meant that the leak was not a crime.
Now deep in the bowels of this leaked transcript, and something that no one noticed for an age, was the following gem—likely coming from Christopher Steele:
In November testimony to the House Intelligence Committee that was made public Thursday, Glenn Simpson, founder of private intelligence firm Fusion GPS, said he’d heard reports that Brexit leader Nigel Farage provided data to WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange.
“I’ve been told and have not confirmed that Nigel Farage had additional trips to the Ecuadoran Embassy than the one that’s been in the papers and that he provided data to Julian Assange,” Simpson testified….Simpson, whose firm assembled the so-called Trump-Russia dossier, added that the data came in the form of a thumb drive.
Farage is known to have made a trip to the embassy in March 2017 to meet with Assange, who has been accused of working with Russian hackers to release stolen emails and other material intended to damage Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The former UKIP party leader, who campaigned on Trump’s behalf, was identified as a “person of interest” in the federal investigation into Russia’s election interference in a Guardian report published last summer.
Ready to listen now?
It seems that Nigel Farage’s loathing of the EU, which in itself is a legitimate viewpoint (well disliking it at least), has led Farage down a dark road. Putin’s annexation of Crimea was most likely illegal, yet based upon some questionable historical justifications. The attempted annexation of Eastern Ukraine, leading to the downing of a civilian airliner, had no such historical or ethical underpinning; it revealed Putin’s true agenda and personality. The 2018 Skripal’s nerve agent attack in Salisbury, simply proving the point. What’s not to admire? Now others can argue that Western Europe (plus the US) had been playing a bad game of chess, but that does not legitimize the illegal, deceitful, reprehensible and deadly actions of Putin in his efforts to destroy Europe as a cohesive political bulwark against his agenda. “What’s wrong with being friends with Russia?” I hear people ask, the people asking are the same creaking conservatives who would have had nothing but disdain for hippies in the 1960’s, putting aside that they have zero foreign policy expertise.
What’s wrong? Are you kidding me? Well you know something is up when the wrong people are asking the question. Logically it would be people to the left, good old-fashioned pacifists who would logically ask that question. It might be a daft question, but at least it would have been a principled question. Let’s put aside all of history, every actual expert, and simply point out something about Putin. What exactly makes Putin tick—for we now know the answer.
Who was Sergei Magnitsky?
Very few people understand why the US Senate in July 2017 united in an unprecedented manner to stymie President Trump and pass a law by 98 to 2 to further strengthen the Magnitsky Act. These were toughened Russian sanctions. Senator Bernie Sanders said nay—not because he did not support such sanctions, but because he was worried about the possible knock on effect on the imperiled yet vital Iran deal. Senator Rand Paul said nay as he is a fundamentalist Ayn Rand devotee who would argue it is OK to sodomize a pig on the Senate floor—as long as no one gets hurt by his grass clippings. What got the otherwise paralyzed Senate so spooked to act so rapidly and decisively? Well, in a democracy (and before mouthing off opinions about foreign policy) —you have a responsibility to learn what the Senate learned. It is a juicy story—a fun read with massive credibility and you can get informed by reading this piece about Sergei Magnitsky. Thus, I suggest you read Bill Browder’s testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee here.
It was the Ukrainian people who rose up against Putin’s puppet prime minister and it was the people who drove him and his party out of the Ukraine. Western friends of Putin would of course not be remotely interested in spending a dime containing Putin’s transparent ambitions. We get to see Putin’s own personal thoughts on the matter through the very mouth of Nigel Farage:
“In the case of the Ukraine, Brussels has for many years been feeding an entirely unrealistic dream of a future as an EU member state and large net recipient of funds.
“This has encouraged brave young men and women in Western Ukraine to rebel to the point of toppling a legitimate president and led to the utterly predictable debacle whereby Vladimir Putin has annexed part of the country and now casts a long shadow over hopes of genuine democracy in the rest of it… If you poke the Russian bear with a stick he will respond. And if you have neither the means nor the political will to face him down that is very obviously not a good idea.”
Well, I guess Farage does not have the political will to face him down and he seeks to snap every stick that the West might have to make such an effort. Hence, Europe loses while Farage and Putin win. These guys have a similar agenda, but, again, this does not prove that there is anything more than indirect and accidental collusion.
WikiLeaks and Julian Assange—Show Their True Colors
WikiLeaks and Julian Assange—love or hate them, no one really believed that they were a sham. I was, and remain quite suspicious regarding the Swedish rape case. Some of us were willing to tolerate some shenanigans in the name of objective transparency—but all that has been torn asunder. WikiLeaks’ agenda is not what we had all presumed. With Julian Assange morphing into Howard Hughes’s end game—trapped in his hermetically sealed miniature exile, increasingly isolated—Assage is finally revealing his true identity. It is becoming ever more apparent that Assange is another Putin stooge.
It has emerged that in 2012 the Russian-government backed RT gave Assange his own (short-lived) talk show. According to a 2017 US intelligence report:
“RT’s editor-in-chief visited WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in August 2013, where they discussed renewing his broadcast contract with RT, according to Russian and Western media. Russian media subsequently announced that RT had become ‘the only Russian media company’ to partner with WikiLeaks and had received access to ‘new leaks of secret information.’ RT routinely gives Assange sympathetic coverage and provides him a platform to denounce the United States.”
Assange had previously taken credit for financing Edward Snowden escape to Russia, but a Russian state newspaper has said that Russian intelligence arranged it all. On June 23, Snowden boarded an Aeroflot jet in Hong Kong bound for Moscow, even though he didn’t have a valid passport. Obviously Putin, via Russian intelligence, facilitated that trip. Ironically, they are likely both telling the truth.
The same 2017 report went on to conclude:
“We assess with high confidence that the GRU [Russia’s Main Intelligence Directorate] relayed material it acquired from the DNC and senior Democratic officials to WikiLeaks,” the January 2017 intelligence report said. “Moscow most likely chose WikiLeaks because of its self-proclaimed reputation for authenticity. Disclosures through WikiLeaks did not contain any evident forgeries.”
Now all these players want Trump to become president for obvious reasons. Take these two Assange tweets to Trump Jr.:
“Hey Donald, great to see you and your dad talking about our publications. Strongly suggest your dad tweets this link if he mentions us wlsearch.tk”
“A PAC-run anti-Trump site ‘putintrump.org’ is about to launch.”
Below, Assange is saying that he would like to publish Trumps tax returns (like that will ever happen voluntarily)—not for transparency, but to assist in manipulating the public perception, the false notion of WikiLeaks’s objectivity. The reality now becoming apparent, they have actually been in cahoots with the Russians for years.
“If we publish them it will dramatically improve the perception of our impartiality. This is the real kicker. That means that the vast amount of stuff that we are publishing about Clinton will have a much higher impact, because it won’t be perceived as coming from a “pro-Trump” “pro-Russia” source, which the Clinton campaign is constantly slandering us with.”
It won’t be perceived as coming from . . . even though it clearly is coming from a pro-Russia source. How else can we infer that Assange is actually trying to influence elections on behalf of the Russians? Here is another email to Trump Jr.:
“Strongly suggest your dad tweets this link if he mentions us,” WikiLeaks went on, pointing Trump Jr. to the link wlsearch.tk, which it said would help Trump’s followers dig through the trove of stolen documents and find stories. “There’s many great stories the press are missing and we’re sure some of your follows [sic] will find it,” WikiLeaks went on. “Btw we just released Podesta Emails Part 4.”
Trump tweets about this fifteen minutes later:
Now who is the most pro Putin agent in Congress—Putin puppet we have known about way before Putin massively overplayed his hand by manipulating a Trump victory? Well that would be Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican, being about the only American politician who pushed back against the Magnitsky act. But now we see Assange has been in cahoots with Rep. Rohrabacher, defending Putin’s role in undermining the West. As reported by The Hill:
“Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican who is friendly to Russia and chairs an important House subcommittee on Eurasia policy, became the first American congressman to meet with Assange during a three-hour private gathering at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, where the WikiLeaks founder has been holed up for years”
And at that meeting:
“Julian emphatically stated that the Russians were not involved in the hacking or disclosure of those emails.” Pressed for more detail on the source of the documents, Rohrabacher said he had information to share privately with President Trump.
How about that for objectivity? Assange only wants to share his info directly with Putin’s puppet—Donald Trump. What is going on? Newsweek reports:
“WikiLeaks wanted Donald Trump to secure Julian Assange a position as Australia’s ambassador to the U.S., secret correspondence between the organization and Donald Trump Jr. reveals. The messages, obtained by The Atlantic, were given to Congress as part on ongoing investigations into Russia’s alleged attempt to influence the U.S. election, and show the organization telling Trump Jr. that his father—then president-elect—should push Australia to make Assange its U.S. ambassador.
The messages between Trump Jr. and WikiLeaks, apparently chosen by Russia to spread hacked information as part of the country’s (alleged) attempt to interfere in the US election, show ongoing attempts by the organization to engage with Republicans. On several occasions the requests made of Trump Jr. during the 10-month correspondence appear to have been complied with.
Now the Really Scary Part—Cambridge Analytica.
On Oct 25th, 2017, we learned about likely collusion between Assange (now established as a Putin stooge) and Cambridge Analytica back in 2016. As The Guardian reports:
That day, we learned that Alexander Nix, the CEO of Cambridge Analytica, the controversial data firm that helped Trump to power, had contacted Julian Assange to ask him if he wanted “help” with WikiLeaks’s stash of stolen emails.
Through 2018 the whole sordid story erupts onto everyone’s radar. Cambridge Analytica, an offshoot of a British company SCL, performs “data modelling and psychographic profiling [classifying people into personality types] to . . . connect with people in ways that move them to action.”
This company immediately started to forge links with the American alt-right. In 2014, it secured a contract from America Inc. run by a Tea Party sympathizer, Brent Bozell III. Bozell founded the Media Research Center (discussed elsewhere) and is friends with billionaire Robert Mercer (discussed elsewhere) and Nigel Farage. Steve Bannon, started taking an interest in UK politics around 2010, befriending Nigel Farage. Bannon took over Breitbart News in 2012; Breitbart News is openly partisan, proudly not objective. “Their model is to identify areas where there are two bigot ingredients, the potential to exploit or inflame racial anxieties, anti-Muslim sentiment, anti-feminist sentiment,” says Angelo Carusone, executive vice president of more progressive Media Matters.
Bannon starts introducing Farage to all the US super-duper nationalistic, white supremacist movers and shakers. In September 2014 Farage was treated as the guest of honor at a Breitbart Embassy dinner and cocktail party where the stars (including Jeff Sessions and top fascist aide Stephen Miller) of the new alt-right rubbed shoulders with journalists from across the media spectrum. Evidently it was Steve Bannon who also encouraged Mercer to invest at least $15M in Cambridge Analytica
Robert Mercer, a Trump supporting oligarch, and Steve Bannon, a vice president of Cambridge Analytica right before joining the Trump campaign, directed Cambridge Analytica. This company, that Mercer was now heavily vested in had now been taken over by the US alt-right, and was now destined to assist America’s and Britain’s enemies, namely the Soviet Union, in electing Trump and voting for Brexit. These two decisions massively destabilized both countries; these decisions that were based not on logic, but on fear, division, and misinformation.
The communications director of Leave.eu, Andy Wigmore, told the Observer that the longstanding friendship between Nigel Farage and the Mercer family led Mercer to offer his help for free to the Brexit campaign because of their shared goals.
But this notion of free help, although likely sincere, is also questionable. Leave.Eu paid almost $5M to AggregateIQ (AIQ). AIQ is a similar company, perhaps too similar, because the AIQ telephone number is the same number as that for SCL Canada.
Vote Leave’s director of communications Dominic Cummings:
“The Vote Leave campaign owes a great deal of its success to the work of AggregateIQ, We couldn’t have done it without them.”
A former employee of SCL explained the original intent:
“That was before we became this dark, dystopian data company that gave the world Trump,” “It was back when we were still just a psychological warfare firm….” That’s what it is. Psyops. Psychological operations – the same methods the military use to effect mass sentiment change. It’s what they mean by winning ‘hearts and minds’. We were just doing it to win elections in the kind of developing countries that don’t have many rules.”
Alex Younger, head of MI6, December, 2016, explains the ultimate consequence:
“The connectivity that is the heart of globalization can be exploited by states with hostile intent to further their aims.[…] The risks at stake are profound and represent a fundamental threat to our sovereignty.”
Every time you use the internet or social media, you leave behind your individual fingerprints, prints that can point to thousands of attributes about you. Every time you like a post, every time you retweet, every digital conversation you engage in—you leave a trail that leads to the very make up of who you are, what biases’ you have, do you prefer facts or fake facts, are you tribal, a racist, are you an idiot, an Onion. It can be quickly determined if you are a critical thinker or a zombie looking for red meat. It is those zombies, those Onions that are the prime target. Now if a foreign power knew how to press what buttons, just imagine what they could do with that leverage.
Cambridge Analytica might well have been the leading company in this field, in part because of its high-profile clients. The CEO of Cambridge Analytica said:
“If you know the personality of the people you’re targeting, you can nuance your messaging to resonate more effectively with those key groups.”
Cambridge Analytica only had Stupidparty clients such as Ted Cruz and Ben Carson. But they then also worked on behalf of Nigel Farage of the 2016 pro-Brexit “Leave” campaign, scouring online data and using it to target and persuade British voters:
“Their models are based on the psychometric research of Michal Kosinski, who in 2013 was still a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge (hence the name “Cambridge Analytica”). Kosinski and his colleagues developed a model that linked subjects’ Facebook likes with their OCEAN scores. OCEAN refers to a questionnaire used by psychologists that describes personalities along five dimensions—openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism.”
These guys might well know you better than your friends, your wife. Das Magazin, a Zürich-based culture magazine, Kosinski talked about the predictive power of his model. Here’s how the authors summed it up:
“The strength of their [Kosinski and his Cambridge colleagues] modeling was illustrated by how well it could predict a subject’s answers. Kosinski continued to work on the models incessantly: before long, he was able to evaluate a person better than the average work colleague, merely on the basis of ten Facebook “likes.” Seventy “likes” were enough to outdo what a person’s friends knew, 150 what their parents knew, and 300 “likes” what their partner knew. More “likes” could even surpass what a person thought they knew about themselves.”
Now you start to think about Putin’s army of thousands of bots and how they used advertising on Facebook and Twitter (Twitter advises 677,000 Trump followers that they had been manipulated)—ads which then drive news stories all leading to the manipulation of the your mind. That is much like an Onion. You can begin to see how a nation voted for a human being who was totally unfit to become president, a person who never said anything intelligent or even remotely truthful. You can see how the Brits are put in imminent danger of committing economic suicide, weakening the West, and strengthening its enemies.
It is not difficult to instill fear and hatred, especially if it is being done surreptitiously, targeting, by an algorithm, dark corners of your soul that you are not even aware existed.
So who are the winners—where does this all lead?
Since Trump rarely says anything intelligent and he never had anything to offer except a fire sale to the top 1 percent. So how did he win? Think of his final pitch, an admittedly smart pitch he made to all the Onions. He said, “come on –what have you got to lose?” He knew full well that he was reaching out to losers, the very same losers that he has nothing but contempt for, but he knew that they had given up, that they felt that they had nothing more to lose—the impoverished rural white voters, the dispirited, downsizing, sinking down the social ladder, suburban voter. Likewise the religious fundamentalists—the people who have been incorrectly taught that the Bible is pro- life, and that to be wealthy and healthy, is proof of God’s love. We need new people running the country so it can be God’s country. God’s laws are simple—black and white. You can sin as much as you like as long as you, at your own conveniece—repent.
Come on people, what have you got to lose? Who are the winners in this game? They are the CEO’s of large companies, whose take-over of the country is virtually complete. These oligarchs are the mirror image of Putin’s oligarchs. The white-nationalist supremacists are also the winners; they have successfully dog whistled the “losers” into sitting, coming, and “drop it” obedience—lacking in self-awareness as they wait for juicy race-baiting treats or easily dispensed forgiveness from God. Much the same nationalist fervor has already happened in Russia. But there it has to create other types of division (being a mainly white country with limited immigration and limited religious claptrap). Thus, those wanting independence from the old USSR stand in for the blacks, those who oppose Putin’s autocratic power stand in for liberal Hollywood elite, and the gays stand in for the gays.
With a dystopian US, Europe will not likely be able to stand alone—especially if its countries are at each others throats. The evangelical oligarchs are the third set of winners—able to keep fleecing their flock while blaming the godless for the state of affairs. Meanwhile everyone else, including immigrants, minorities, the poor, the working class, the middle class, women, teachers, scientists, journalists and Hollywood players (i.e., the 99 percent), endlessly spiral into an ever more dire outlook. Every dystopian novel informs of pretty much the same fate for such zombies. For as Allah would say, it is written.
The ultimate winner? Did you bother to read that piece referenced earlier? How did he (Putin) pull it off? Just follow the foot-prints of his puppets.
The collusion between the Trump team and Putin will only become clearer with each passing day of history. But it had always been obvious—starting way back in June of 2016. I commissioned the following research piece into the matter…
But we are still learning more and now we must ask, was there also collusion between Cambridge Analytica and Putin? We know that these parties have ties and that SCL has ties to Russia. Sources from Cambridge Analytica have provided details about trips, meetings with Russian-state-owned companies and other entities. Smoke, but not fire. But enough smoke for the US House intelligence Committee to Investigate, enough smoke for a UK lawsuit into the matter, enough smoke for the FBI to investigate right-wing news sites like Breitbart and thus, by extension, Cambridge Analytica. Enough smoke for the FBI to consider Farage a person of interest. When was the last time that a senior British politician has been investigated by the FBI as a possible enemy colluder/agent? Never, I guess. The UK lawsuit is the only investigation not imperiled by the fact that Putin and the far right are now (with Trump and company) close to securing a strangle-hold on the American levers of power.
But even if Cambridge Analytica did not actively aid and abet an enemy power bent on manipulating to the point of self-destruction various NATO powers—such assistance must have surely happened regardless, as Business Insider reports:
Additionally, the intern appeared to have left Cambridge Analytica’s Twitter API secret and key online when he uploaded the scripts. The secret and key, which was removed in February, amounts to the account username and password that companies and developers use to search and pull tweets and user profile information from Twitter, Albright explained.
Albright said the code for the tools was “sitting right on Github for almost a year: from March 2016 to February 2017 —the last 8 months of the US election.”
“That’s a security issue, in my opinion,” Albright added. “Could Russia find this and use it? Absolutely.”
Would Farage, Assange, Bannon, and Mercer care if this happened? Absolutely not. Their interests are aligned with Putin’s. These white supremacists are the true enemies of Western democracy—they are Putin’s puppets. As for Farage, well, he could never really get in the club, so he joined a different club. This club just happens to have the same interests as the enemies of the West. Farage is not simply deeply mired in white supremacy, he is a traitor. But his real sin is far worse. What he has done is something that no Brit can see—he has opened a portal to the blackest of hearts, the sickest parts, the very worst elements of American politics.
American hate radio, American malevolent oligarch money, American brand of racism, the American brand of trampling on facts has arrived—all through Farage. What he has unleashed cannot easily be caged, especially in an environment in which Britain is tearing itself apart over Brexit. You would think that with Britain’s more direct connection to the events that lead to the Second World War, that we could ask ourselves a really simple question. This is a question that America can barely understand. If you support Trump and/-or his enablers, what does that tell you about how you would have voted had you lived in Germany in 1933? The more awful aspect of this question being that at least those Germans had two excuses: 1) they were suffering from a massive economic meltdown and 2) how could they have known what Hitler was going to unleash on both his own citizens and on the world. That is why Germany fully understands the meaning of Aryans screaming “let’s make Germany great again.” Why don’t we?
Why Bigfoot? Because Farage is an abomination, a monster guilty of double treachery. He is not just selling out a diminished and ever-shrinking Britain to the Russians, but to the very worst elements of America, posing as allies. The American alt-right is propelled by the malevolent half of the American oligarch’s—often born out of and raised by fascism, sometimes inspired by Ayn Rand libertarianism (an infantile philosophy that can only lead to fascism), and occasionally spurred by tribal support for Israel’s own supremacist faction’s.
Farage is an abominable monster who leaves footprints. By following such footprints all the way into the parallel universe of rural Alabama, a snowless landscape with very un- Himalayan puny peaks, a land where high is low, wrong is right, myths become facts, and deadly Stupid becomes divine. The British people need to transport this abominable monster to permanently reside in this land, slamming closed the portal, where he can be hunted down by the one issue cave dwellers. The British people need to provide Farage with his final deliverance, never to be seen again, fading into myth.
